Read this book in one sitting tonight. It’s still going round and round in my head and I’m trying to make sense of it as best I can.
Despite how tired I am, despite how much I just wanted to crawl under the covers, close my eyes, and give into the gentle caress that is sleep, instead I forced myself to stay awake, desperate to know the ending.
In short, I loved it.
I get that some people think it’s a patronising self-help book. I get that others think it’s just more ‘God is good!’ crap. I liked it anyway. I liked that it brought everything together. I liked it in spite of those things.
Mostly I just really liked that at a time when I’m trying to hear exactly what it is my heart wants so that I can follow that desire, this book told me that doing so is what leads to inner peace.
Something I always struggle with is the difference between hurdles and bad omens… I’m still reconciling that in my head…
Anyway. It’s read now. It’s stuck in my head. And I feel a gentle peace as I absorb the secrets and messages hidden in it’s pages.

This song. Every time I hear it I wonder why I forget about it when it tells such a good story and has such a nice message. Some time or another we all get hurt, but life goes on.
